Import and export Guitar Pro files
Bring one tablature track into TabComposer, then download a Guitar Pro 7-compatible copy when you are ready.

Import one track
From Your songs, choose Import a tab and select a Guitar Pro file. TabComposer can read Guitar Pro 3, 4, and 5 files, Guitar Pro 6 .gpx files, and .gp files from Guitar Pro 7 or 8.
The preview lists the available tablature tracks. Choose one track and a compatible instrument, then select Import selected track. The import creates a new tab and never replaces an existing one.
Know what comes across
Your new tab includes the selected track's title, timing, tempo, tuning, notes, rests, and first tablature voice. It stays fully editable after import.
Other tracks, additional voices, meter changes, and markings that TabComposer does not support may not come across exactly. If a file cannot be read or does not contain an importable tab track, TabComposer explains the problem and lets you choose another file.
Export your current score
With a tab open, choose Export .gp in the top bar. TabComposer downloads a Guitar Pro 7-compatible file using your song title as the filename.
Export uses the score that is currently open, including unsaved changes. It does not replace your saved tab. If the file cannot be prepared, the tab remains open and you can try again.
