Play your score
Choose Play in the bar at the bottom of the editor to hear the notes at the song's written tempo. The score follows the playhead when it moves to a new row, while still letting you scroll through the tab.
Choose Pause to stop temporarily, or Stop to return to the beginning. An empty score cannot play until you add a note.
Practise at your own pace
Use the progress control to move to another point in the song. Its arrow keys also let you seek through the score. Use the playback tempo slider to hear the song from half speed to double speed, without changing the tab's written tempo.
To change the written tempo that is saved with the song, edit Tempo (BPM) in the song header. The volume slider controls playback loudness.
Saving works in the background
TabComposer saves changes automatically after a short pause and continues saving during longer stretches of writing. A quiet label says Saving…, Saved, or Not saved. Choose Save tab whenever you want to save immediately.
If a save cannot finish, your tab stays open and TabComposer explains that it was not saved. You can choose Save tab to try again or continue writing and let the next change try again.
